"Details": "Three people were taken into custody Thursday afternoon after police served a search warrant on the city's west side.\n\r\nThe warrant was served at an apartment along the 500 block of N. Midvale Blvd.\u00a0\n\r\nAfter seeing police, one man tried to leave the area in a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Janesville. He ended up crashing the vehicle into a garage door and then ran inside a family member's apartment unit.\n\r\nDayquan Alawiye-Thomas, 20,\u00a0was taken into custody on a warrant for contempt of court, a warrant for disorderly conduct and battery and operating a motor vehicle without an owner's consent.\u00a0\n\r\nHalima Alawiye,\u00a045, of Madison was taken into custody on a probation hold and for maintaining a drug dwelling.\n\r\nSincere Harvey, 18, was taken into custody for an extraditable warrant out of Illinois.\u00a0\n\r\nDrugs, a handgun and the stolen vehicle were all recovered.\nReleased 04/11/2025 at 11:18 AM by PIO Stephanie Fryer",

"Details": "The Madison Police Department is investigating a potential weapons offense on the city's west side.\n\r\nOfficers were dispatched to the area of Raymond Rd. and Westbrook Lane around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.\n\r\nA person reported hearing two loud bangs as a car passed by and then noticed they suffered a leg injury. The victim was treated at the scene for the injury.\u00a0\n\r\nOfficers searched the are and did not find any shell casings or signs of a shooting.\n\r\nAnyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014 or online at p3tips.com. Information may be shared anonymously and could be eligible for a monetary reward if an arrest is made.\n\r\nThe Violent Crime Unit was notified of the incident.
