"6/30/2025": "Update\n\r\n All lanes are now open. -Madison Police were dispatched to the Beltline and Todd Dr reference a motor vehicle crash with injuries. One driver, operating a Lexus, tried to change lanes and was blocked by two motorcycles. This driver then tried to pursue the motorcycles as they sped off. The Lexus driver then tried to weave through traffic lanes at a high rate of speed before he struck another vehicle which resulted in a 5 car crash on the beltline. Some of the individuals involved in the crash had some scrapes and bruises and luckily did not need to be transported to the hospital. To deal with the crash, the beltine had to be reduced to a single lane for an hour. The driver of the Lexus was cited for Reckless Driving and may receive additional citations once video can be reviewed. \u00a0 Madison Police are also trying to identify the motorcycles involved in this case. This summer, the Madison Police Department is participating in the Proactive Summer Traffic Initiative to address dangerous driving behaviors.
