"UPDATE 2 - 7/10/2025 AT 3:50 P.M.": "Update\n\n A search warrant was served Thursday morning at a residence on Kessel Ct. in response to this case. One person was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant. The investigation is ongoing at this time. 6/30/2025-Madison Police responded to the 10 block of Kessel Ct for numerous reports of shots fired. One witness reported seeing a subject approach a vehicle at which point they shoot the vehicle multiple times. The vehicle takes off and is later located by police. "Details": "On 6-29-25, at approximately 10:18 pm, multiple calls of shots fired were reported in the area of Kessel Ct. Once MPD Officers arrived on scene, multiple shell casings were located in the 10 block of Kessel Ct. There also was an occupied apartment that was struck in the same area, but there were no injuries. There are no suspects in custody at this time. "Details": "On 6/28/2025, officers assigned to the North and East Community Policing Team were checking this area due to complaints of a homeless encampment on private property. When officers arrived, they contacted two individuals whom were compliant and they were arrested on outstanding warrants. The third individual refused to identify himself to police and became argumentative as officers tried to speak with him.\n\r\nThe male then retrieved a metal water bottle and began to wield in the water bottle in an aggressive way towards the officers. Officers on scene deployed a Taser and the male, David Atkinson, was taken into custody. The Madison Police Department referred charges for Resisting, Obstructing, Possession of Cocaine as well as a municipal citation for Trespassing.\nReleased 06/30/2025 at 1:46 PM by P.O. "Details": "A Madison Police Sergeant assigned to the Downtown Safety Initiative observes a fight in the area of State St and N Frances St. As other officers arrive, the fight breaks up and individuals begin to run. One combatant, Ehiyah Davis, stumbles while trying to flee and ends up breaking their leg. Another combatant, Lee Scott, is spotted by another Madison Police Officer assigned to the Downtown Safety Initiative trying to run from the scene and is also taken into custody. A third combatant, Isaiah Davis, is also arrested for being in the fight. Witnesses confirmed that Ehiyah had broken his leg while running and that it did not happen from the fight.\n\r\nEhiyah Davis was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing, Lee Scott was Disorderly Conduct and Resisting, and Isaiah Davis was charged with Disorderly Conduct. "Details": "Madison Police were dispatched to the Goodman Pool for a large fight involving juveniles. The investigation showed that there was an agreement to fight between two juveniles to fight. While trying to investigate the incident, there was a crowd of unruly juveniles surrounding the officers. The caller reported that a Pride flag at the front entrance of the Church had been cut down and was now missing.
